Help us say THANK YOU to frontline workers who have kept us fed throughout the pandemic at this Whole Hog Barbecue competition on Oct. 1 & 2 at the Sampson County Ag-Expo Center.
This is part of a thank you event for plant workers at the Smithfield Foods Clinton Plant and not open to the public. No barbecue will be offered for sale.
It is a Thursday night to Friday morning cook. (8 am judging) Cooks will need to chop or grind barbecue after judging.
25 team limit, with two team members max based on current executive mandate. Teams will be socially distanced in the parking lot.
$150 registration fee to help cover costs of the pigs and prize money. Electronic payment link will be sent after registration is received.
